Wander The Field

A story about a place, and the people acting upon it, for two players.

Somewhere, there is a Field. It may not be a field as you or I know them - it may not have brush or trees. It may have walls or rooms or waters or craters; it may be bounded by woods or by concrete; it may house rabbits or humans or dead bloodied dirt. But it has, as all fields do, a rhythm - a way of being that has, at least for a time, been unchallenged.

And to that Field will come Wanderers, those from other places that come to the field. For a time, they may be content to observe and interact on the Field’s terms. But one day there will come a want or a will or a need, and they will come to the Field with an “It should not be this way. We should make it another” on their lips. And they will change it and remake it.

Perhaps it should be that other way, and perhaps it shouldn’t - it is not our place to say. But there is nowhere without a history, without an inner life and a sense of place. You cannot change a place without changing that, too.
